Hi, I'm Júli! Visual designer & art director.
I’m Júli, a visual designer and art director based in Helsinki.
My work spans a wide range of mediums: from analog printmaking and illustration to graphic design, photography, and videography. The value I bring lies in my ability to ideate and direct cross-medium concepts, and to execute each part myself.
I enjoy working on a diverse range of projects. For me, it’s not so much about the what but about the why. If a project’s purpose resonates with my values and I can contribute meaningfully to it with my creative toolbox, I’m in!
My goal is to craft concepts that inspire people, spark fresh ideas, and ultimately contribute to a more humane and sustainable world.
Down memory lane...
If you want to understand who I am as a person (first off, thank you for your time and interest!), I invite you to look at the roots of my life. I was raised under the Mediterranean sun, in the land of Catalunya. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been drawn to creative exploration: ideating, drawing, writing, crafting, and building.
As a kid, I spent hours constructing entire cities out of random toys, self-made clay props, and things I found laying on the forest. When I grew out of that, I picked up a camera and started taking photos to channel the complex emotions that come with growing up. When I was 14, I started making videos for YouTube and designing graphics for my friend’s blog.
Creativity never felt like a decision. It has always been the core of my life: something instinctive and essential, constantly guiding me and keeping me grounded. So yes, I’m a creative by profession, but also by lifestyle.
Although I deeply appreciate the place where I was raised, at some point it began to feel a bit too small. I dreamed of learning from the best designers and understanding how I could contribute meaningfully to the world. So, after spending the first 17 years of my life at home with my parents, I moved to Finland to study design at Aalto University—a place that has shaped me profoundly, both personally and creatively. There, I specialized in Visual Communication Design for my master’s degree.
Outside of my studies, I’ve been developing my professional skills by working with startups, educational institutions, and as a freelancer on a wide range of projects. While my goal is to create extraordinary projects, I also find deep value in the quiet beauty of an ordinary life. I find peace in everyday moments—tuning into my inner world, enjoying my hobbies, and spending time with loved ones in nature. Whenever I can, I also love to travel and expand my horizons, letting new experiences shape both my life and creative practice.
